Glad you made it! This website is a product of the collaboration between a Peace Corps volunteer and an PROGRAM called WILLAY to promote the work of local artisans in a small mountain town in the Andes of Peru. The ladies have a formal Association where they work together to develop and promote fair trade artisan products like handbags, clothing and recycled knick-knacks.
Many of the women come from very humble backgrounds, and this business enterprise is giving them a chance to earn an income and help support their families. It is also helping to break the chain of "machismo", as the women are becoming more independent, leaving the house and uniting for a common goal.
To see the prices of the products just click on them as they appear in the slide show. If you see products you would like, we have a minimum $40 minimum to be able to cover the cost of shipping from Peru. We also take requests for special orders. To place an order or for any questions, please email jackie.kahler@gmail.com. Thanks for your support and God Bless!
